No bad coding:-

Web programmers know how important it is to write clean and valid code. But what if an experienced programmer isn’t available and the coding has to be done by someone who knows only HTML. In this situation the programmer needs to use an HTML editor like Adobe Dreamweaver because it helps to generate clean markup.

Once the site is made, a code validator should be used as it helps the programmers bigtime. Proper and clean coding of the website makes sure that that it is compatible with all platforms.

No extra-large images:-

One factor that you want to avoid is a slow website. For this you need to use images and videos that aren’t too large. Big images tend to lower the loading speed of the page. Images and videos don’t need to be several MBs in size, in fact some images of 500 or above KBs can also slow down the loading speed if the person has a slow internet connection.

Images, gifs and videos need to be optimized for the web by compressing them before use. Now there are so many software available that don’t decrease the quality of the image or the video, when compressing.

Avoid spamming:-

To achieve desired results regarding the search engine optimization, some web development experts and content writers spam keyword purposefully in the content. This too much spamming of the keywords is known as keyword stuffing. This must be avoided as search engines can penalize the site.
 

Such content must be developed that pleases the visitors, if the visitors are pleased, the search engines will be pleased automatically. Usage of keywords must be such that the content looks natural and not only surrounding specific keywords. If it seems natural to the reader, the search engines are going to rank it automatically.

A site is never finished:-

One golden rule of web development is that all great and leading sites are never finished. In fact, websites are evolving and something or the other is always improving in the sites. Good sites are updated every now and then with fresh content, improved design, new layout or some new features.

A site that is static and considered complete is likely to be taken over by the competitors. Updating doesn’t mean that everything has to change, some fresh and up to date content and features are always there for the taking.

A big NO to illegal content:-

This is the main factor that search engines like Google penalize and de rank any site. Illegal content means any content that has copyright issues or the images and text have been used without permission and authority from any other site or illegal source. It must be made sure that content is unique, whether it is the imagery or the text descriptions.

If in any case you are outsourcing the content writing job then you need to check it through plagiarism checkers and also that it is authentic and related to the product that you are describing. Also, while using pics and videos etc. they must always be your own. For this reason, you can buy stocked photos or the usage of clip art which is licensed for commercial or noncommercial reuse must be made sure.

Web development ethics don’t allow the content to be stolen from any other site. If in any case there is a need to use a copyrighted content, then you must seek permission from the owner to avoid any complications in the future.
